Here are a few of the most request educational resources from HealthWorks Northwest:

• eBrief Newsletter. This weekly online newsletter is emailed to subscribers each Monday morning. eBrief is a great way to find out about upcoming events, receive information about changes in regulations and other valuable information. • CPR and First Aid Training. This 8-hour class combines certification for both CPR and First Aid into one program. Successful participants receive a 2-year certification. Our CPR and First Aid training class can be conducted in our own Education Center or onsite at your business. Classes are conveniently available weekedays, weekends or evenings.

• Reasonable Suspicion Training For Supervisors. This important class teaches supervisors how to recognize the signs of on-the-job impairments due to the possible use of alcohol or illegal drugs. Included are steps to take to document unusual behavior and how supervisors can assist employees who may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while on the job.

• Special Topic Classes For Employers. Included here are classes on such recent items as the new OSHA 300 log and record keeping requirements and the Washington State (WISHA) equivalent; Ergomonics and how these new standards could affect your worker's compensation claims; and Worker's Compensation 101. A variety of special topic classes are scheduled for 2005 and are announced through the eBrief newsletter and on the HealthWorks Northwest homepage.

• Online Teaching Modules: The staff at HealthWorks Northwest is constantly searching for important teaching modules that can be offered online. Many of these modules are designed to be completed within half an hour and can be downloaded and printed. These teaching modules are presented in the eBrief newsletters and are also archived in case you miss the specific newsletter edition.
